Your Ottawa Region – The following are council briefs from the Town of Smiths Falls March 8 committee-of-the-whole meeting at 5 p.m. All councillors were present.
Town staff said they surveyed areas around group homes in town for one or two days, and has been monitoring traffic.
“We want to continue to do that for two to four weeks to get a better reading,” said chief administrative officer, Wayne Brown.
This surveying is in relation to the Human Rights Legal Support Centre launching a human rights application against the town, on behalf of individuals living with disabilities.
In addition to Smiths Falls, Toronto, Sarnia and Kitchener were also named.
